22D CSB S1 YOGA PT 04/09/2025 JBLM, WA

Wnderwell collaborated with the 22d Corps Signal Brigade, downtrace MP units, and Nineline Veteran Services at Joint Base Lewis-McChord for a powerful 90-minute Hatha yoga session that blended mindful movement with suicide prevention awareness. With around 20 participants in attendance, this offering created a space for both physical restoration and open dialogue around mental health.

Led by Wnderwell founder Jeffy Bangcado, the session combined grounding asana, breathwork, and guided relaxation to support stress relief and body awareness. Following savasana, participants engaged in a meaningful conversation on suicide prevention and available resources, emphasizing connection, community, and the importance of asking for help.

Wnderwell is honored to hold space for service members to decompress, build resilience, and access tools that support their overall wellness, both on and off the mat.

I can’t recommend this class enough. I’m normally a gym gal who loves lifting weights, but have been looking for something else to help diversify, and possibly implement into my routine. Luckily this class appeared nearby, so I took the intro to yoga class, and had a truly great experience. The instructor Jeffy, is warm and welcoming, creating a really nice and fun laid-back atmosphere. They did a great job in guiding us gently through a variation of movements and breath work. These movements were challenging at times, yet funny enough I feel as if those were the movements that ended up relaxing me the most. At the end of the class I definitely felt a lot less tension and stiffness in my body, and so much more awake. I left the class feeling accomplished and a lot less achy. I will definitely be incorporating this Friday class into my routine!
