  • “I belong to a lineage of love and survival.”

Suggested Ritual:

Light the handmade incense and let the scent fill your space.

Arrange the herbs in a small bowl or plate.

Somatic Exercise: Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Soften your knees, feel the ground beneath you, and imagine roots growing from your feet into the earth. Breathe slowly, feeling the ground hold you.

Hold each stone in your hands. As you inhale, imagine drawing up the earth’s and your ancestors’ strength; as you exhale, let that strength settle into your body.

Place the linoprint where you’ll see it often as a reminder of your connection to those who came before you.

I can’t recommend this class enough. I’m normally a gym gal who loves lifting weights, but have been looking for something else to help diversify, and possibly implement into my routine. Luckily this class appeared nearby, so I took the intro to yoga class, and had a truly great experience. The instructor Jeffy, is warm and welcoming, creating a really nice and fun laid-back atmosphere. They did a great job in guiding us gently through a variation of movements and breath work. These movements were challenging at times, yet funny enough I feel as if those were the movements that ended up relaxing me the most. At the end of the class I definitely felt a lot less tension and stiffness in my body, and so much more awake. I left the class feeling accomplished and a lot less achy. I will definitely be incorporating this Friday class into my routine!
